The results of the graduation exam held for both grade IX and grade XI pupils remain valid for 2 years. Applicants who took the graduation exam in 2024 and met the relevant competition requirement may take part in the college competition in 2025 without sitting the exam again (those wishing to enrol in specialties requiring special aptitude must pass an aptitude exam). In addition, applicants may, if they wish, retake the exam. In that case, they themselves decide which exam result they will use in the competition. Note that in any case, applicants wishing to enrol in colleges must confirm their electronic applications within the period to be announced.

No, lyceum graduates who finish a vocational lyceum in the current year and take the graduation exam participate in the competition for colleges and for group V higher education institutions in the same way as those finishing grade 11 in the current year – based on the results of the graduation exam.

Yes, you can. Note that pupils studying at general education institutions where instruction is in Azerbaijani must take an additional exam in the Russian language in order to take part in the competition for Russian-taught specialties of higher education institutions and of secondary specialized education institutions based on full (11-year) secondary education, while pupils studying at general education institutions where instruction is in Russian must take an additional exam in the Azerbaijani language in order to take part in the competition for Azerbaijani-taught specialties of such institutions.

Applicants who completed general (9-year) secondary education in Azerbaijan in previous years, or who graduated from educational institutions located abroad in the current or previous years, must take an entrance exam in Azerbaijani (Russian) language, mathematics and a foreign language in order to take part in the competition for secondary specialized education institutions (colleges) based on general (9-year) secondary education. Applicants taking the entrance exam in Russian (except those who received a "pass" grade in the Azerbaijani language exam in 2020) must also take an exam in the Azerbaijani language to be admitted to colleges based on general (9-year) secondary education.

Applicants completing general (9-year) or full (11-year) secondary education at general education institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the current year do not take a separate entrance exam for colleges and take part in the competition based on the results they obtained in the graduation exam in their native language, mathematics and a foreign language. Graduates of both the current year and previous years must take part in the application process.

The competition is based on the total score obtained by the applicant in the entrance (graduation) exam. To differentiate two or more applicants with the same total score, additional indicators are used in the following order:

• The arithmetic mean of the final grades recorded in the certificate for the subjects "Azerbaijani language" (in schools with instruction in Azerbaijani), "Russian language" (in schools with instruction in Russian), "Georgian language" (in schools with instruction in Georgian), "Literature", "Foreign language", "Mathematics", "History of Azerbaijan", "General history", "Physics", "Chemistry", "Biology" and "Geography";
• The score obtained in the native language subject in the entrance (graduation) exam.

Sub-bachelors take part in the competition of higher education institutions with a score equal to the competition threshold set for the relevant specialty groups (relevant specialties) (after applicants who took the entrance exam have been placed). Once specialty selection is completed, placement is carried out on a competitive basis within the admission plan for specialties of higher education institutions and the forecast of state-funded student admission – first for applicants and then for sub-bachelors. Note that exam-free admission applies to graduates of secondary specialized education institutions who have been awarded the sub-bachelor professional qualification and whose education document contains a corresponding note.

When entering their personal account with the FIN code, applicants must confirm the information displayed there. Students admitted on a fee-paying basis can confirm their registration after paying the tuition fee. If an applicant wishes to choose the option of studying on preferential terms, the relevant document must be uploaded to the portal. Copies of the certificate and ID card are submitted to the specialty department after enrolment in the college.

Yes, foreign citizens can study at the college. Tuition fees for international students are the same as for local students.

This is very important both for directing students' potential in the right direction and for strengthening the college's development strategy. For this purpose, various groups operate at our College (choir, dance, the Nizam drama group, the National moral values and civic position group). Subject clubs have also been operating since the 2025/2026 academic year.
